DHS wants to read your brain

They know where you live and know where you work.

Now the government is considering a plan to monitor Americans’ speech rhythms, blinking rate and breathing patterns. This, they say, could help identify and eliminate threats to the nation.

The CIA doesn’t necessarily want to put a microchip

in your brain but what they are trying out isn’t all that far off. Under a project put together by the Department of Homeland Security, the government has been trying out space-age (and pretty damn creepy) techniques to get into the minds of Americans in hopes of figuring out who will cause concern for the country before they can even get out of bed.

It’s called the FAST project and it stands for the Future Attribute Screening

echnology Mobile Module. If this technology is implemented quickly on the public, however, it could be an invasion of privacy made for the silver screen.

The website CNET has uncovered evidence of the FAST project through Freedom of Information Act requests sent out by the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) and has now revealed to the public that they could eventually be in danger of a massive initiative that has already been tested in America.

DHS employees have already served as test subjects in FAST trial runs in which sensors collected “video images, audio recordings and psychophysiological measurements,” among other unidentified evaluations, in order to get into the minds of potential terrorists.

To CNET, DHS Deputy Press Secretary Peter Boogaard says FAST is designed to track and monitor body movements, voice pitch changes, fluctuations in rhythm and intonation, eye movement, body heat changes and breathing patterns in order to gather research that could help pin-point the inner workings of wrong-doers. Boogard says that preliminary research has already been conducted and that the DHS has used technological sensors and observational techniques to signal out signs of stress “associated with intent to do harm.”

The DHS says that they do not intend on deploying FAST program on the public anytime soon, but should they chose to, that means that your every move — inside and out — could be recorded to keep America safe . . . one blink at a time.

Among the materials collected in the FOIA request sent out by EPIC is one document that accounts for every cent of the “ore-crime” system that was contracted out to a Cambridge, Massachusetts laboratory. Amounts, however, were redacted in the documents. EPIC writes that they are pursuing an administrative appeal to challenge those blackened out portions of the files.

Though research has apparently only been conducted on DHS volunteer so far, the documents suggest that a trial will be carried out soon on volunteering public at a large invent where body actions will be used to help researcher’s pin-point “the bad guy.” Should this technology make it outside of the DHS’ trial testing, it wouldn’t be that big surprise if it becomes implemented alongside the already invasive scanners that the DHS has at their many airports across America.

Upon CNET’s initial report on the FAST program, the DHS was quick to fire back that the program really isn’t as invasive as some might think — even if, yes, they have been collecting data on breathing patterns to learn how to kick crime to the curb. They add that data is not kept on participants, which is collected anonymously, after the process is complete.

Become what you hate

For ever reaction there is an opposite and equal reaction.

So may be the case of America. In the name of freedom after 9/11 they have. America has become a SS state and the biggest terrorists in the world. When George W Bush spoke about the necessity of “protecting the homeland of our country”, he probably thought that the homeland was literally just that – a land that one calls home. And while most people focused on the fact that the then US president had once again made a grammatical blunder, many saw a hidden danger in his statement – not only because of the Big Brother-type security changes ahead, but also because of the very nature of the word “homeland”.

Merriam-Webster defines “homeland” as “a state or area set aside to be a state for a people of a particular national, cultural, or racial origin.”

Now, that really doesn’t apply to one of the youngest countries in the world, which has no shared cultural or racial origin. Dig a little deeper and many linguists will tell you of the word’s decidedly Teutonic origin. A blend of two proto-Germanic words “kham” (home) and “landan” (land), a homeland does not unite people by ideas or beliefs. It ties them firmly to the land. It is a concept that has little to do with patriotism – despite the fact the words do share common Greek roots – and, ironically, it was used ad nauseam by the US government in the post-9/11 world. Ironic because it’s patriotism that is more applicable to the concept of the United States as a nation – one where people of all cultures and backgrounds come together for shared ideas, opportunities and beliefs. And one of the key ideas that most people chose to make the US their home was one much propagated by President Ronald Reagan. The idea of freedom.

Because freedom – that greatly advertised American concept – was effectively taken away from the people, with the creation of the Department of Homeland Security. Under the new Patriot Act, The Federal Bureau of Investigation began probing almost every second of every life in the country and when people wanted to leave the country, the Transport Security Administration probed them. The Big German-sounding Brother was fully established, the people living in the ‘land of the free’ under surveillance at all times.

In terms of killing and wasting money America is Number 1 in the world.

At one time America was considered the land of the free  to the land of people that have become the terrorists themselves as well as bring the terror home to its own people and causing a financial nightmare with the whole country in the mists of an economic disaster cause by the spending of  funds on a meaningless war.

An argument can be made for the US invasion of Afghanistan at the time – it was a direct military response to an attack. But what began as a reaction was taken by the policymakers and changed into an action – one of military aggression and nothing shy of a hostile takeover. And as the days went by, bringing more and more casualties and taking away taxpayer dollars with it, many began to question these actions, wondering why one day in the United States justified 4000 days in Afghanistan, with hundreds of soldiers and civilians dying daily – and the fact that not one of the 19 people directly involved in the 9/11 attacks was actually from Afghanistan.

Not only did the “world change” on that day, but the lexicon of that world changed as well. Phrases like ‘war on terror’ and ‘axis of evil’ became the new stereotypes of American foreign policy. Al-Qaeda went from legitimate enemy to a scapegoat-like collective term for anything the White House and Pentagon wanted to achieve. More money? Yes, it’s necessary to continue the war on terror. More troops? Yes, to battle Al- Qaeda and prevent attacks on American soil. Since 2001, the military’s cumulative spending has reached a staggering $6 TRILLION. The war in Iraq has so far cost the United States $140 billion just in interest.

Extreme Weather - Global Warming

The number of hurricanes in the most powerful categories  like Katrina,Irene and Andrew  has increased sharply over the past few decades, according to a new analysis sure to stir debate over whether global warming is worsening these deadly storms.

While studies have not found an overall increase in tropical systems worldwide,

the number of storms reaching categories 4 and 5 grew from about 11 per year in the 1970s to 18 per year since 1990, according to a report in Friday's issue of the journal Science.

Peter J. Webster of the Georgia Institute of Technology said it's the warm water vapor from the oceans that drives tropical storms, and as the water gets warmer the amount of evaporation increases, providing more fuel for the tempests. Between 1970 and 2004 the average sea surface temperature in the tropics rose nearly 1°F.

Co-author Greg Holland of the National Center for Atmospheric Research

said the researchers can't say rising sea-surface temperatures caused Hurricane Katrina and Irene. But their study shows the potential for more Katrina and Irene -like events to occur, he said.

Katrina was a category 5 storm at sea and was category 4 when it made landfall. The increase in storms they found is for category 4 and 5. Category 4 storms have wind speeds of 131 mph to 155 mph and Category 5 is for storms with sustained winds of 156 mph and over.

Federal Bureau of Investigation

employs upwards of 15,000 undercover agents today,

ten times what they had on the roster back in 1975.If you think that’s a few spies too many — spies earning as much as $100,000 per assignment — one doesn’t have to go too deep into their track record to see their accomplishments. Those agents are responsible for an overwhelming amount of terrorist stings that have stopped major domestic catastrophes in the vein of 9/11 from happening on American soil.

Another thing those agents are responsible for, however, is plotting those very schemes

The FBI has in recent years used trained informants not just to snitch on suspected terrorists, but to set them up from the get-go. A recent report put together by Mother Jones and the Investigative Reporting Program at the University of California-Berkley analyses some striking statistics about the role of FBI informants in terrorism cases that the Bureau has targeted in the decade since the September 11 attacks.

The report reveals that the FBI regularly infiltrates communities

where they suspect terrorist-minded individuals to be engaging with others. Regardless of their intentions, agents are sent in to converse within the community, find suspects that could potentially carry out “lone wolf” attacks and then, more or less, encourage them to do so. By providing weaponry, funds and a plan, FBI-directed agents will encourage otherwise-unwilling participants to plot out terrorist attacks, only to bust them before any events fully materialize.

Additionally, one former high-level FBI officials speaking to Mother Jones says that, for every informant officially employed by the bureau, up to three unofficial agents are working undercover.

The FBI has used those informants to set-up and thus shut-down several of the more high profile would-be attacks in recent years. The report reveals that the Washington DC Metro bombing plot, the New York City subway plot, the attempt to blow up Chicago’s Sears Tower and dozens more were all orchestrated by FBI agents. In fact, reads the report, only three of the more well-known terror plots of the last decade weren’t orchestrated by FBI-involved agents.

The report reveals that in many of the stings, important meetings between informants and the unknowing participants are left purposely unrecorded, as to avoid any entrapment charges that could cause the case to be dismissed. Perhaps the most high-profile of the FBI-proposed plots was the case of the Newburgh 4. Around an hour outside of New York City, an informant infiltrated a Muslim community and engaged four local men to carry out a series of attacks. Those men may have never actually carried out an attack, but once the informant offered them a plot and a pair of missiles, they agreed. Defense attorneys cried “entrapment,” but the men still were sentenced to 25 years apiece.

"The problem with the cases we're talking about is that defendants would not have done anything if not kicked in the ass by government agents," Martin Stolar tells Mother Jones. Stolar represented the suspect involved in a New York City bombing plot that was set-up by FBI agents. "They're creating crimes to solve crimes so they can claim a victory in the war on terror." For their part, the FBI says this method is a plan for "preemption," "prevention" and "disruption."

The report also reveals that, of the 500-plus prosecutions of terrorism-related cases they analyzed, nearly half of them involved the use of informants, many of whom worked for the FBI in exchange for money or to work off criminal charges. Of the 158 prosecutions carried out, 49 defendants participated in plots that agent provocateurs arranged on behalf of the FBI.

The Human Corporation

Localize and and focus on human development

Ever since the companies started not giving retirements. They tried to justify it by letting you save. This is very deceptive as your money one way or another goes in the hands of corporations and they spend your future on what they want. The largest group of people that get retirement is government workers plus they get to invest in retirement funds too.

This puts them all in quite a different class than the average business owner

that struggled and paid all kinds of fees and taxes in the the process of making a living. If their business goes bad they can't even get unemployment benefits. This will may make them homeless in most cases. Our society is successful in creating a very unbalanced system. The ones that works for it get to much and the business owner gets nothing.  This forced investments in corporate America has cased a decay in cost of living and is bent on making people slaves to a fairytale.

What can I do?

  • Limit your spending on anything made locally
  • Limit you interments into local companies, people and your own family
  • Support local business and buying between local non-corporate companies
  • Instead of investing in the stock market create people based companies that are employee owned
  • Invest in green products and companies that have an impact on the environment
  • Buy used not new. Anything you buy that has been produced before in the past 100% of all the money stays local and creates no new carbon footprint.
  • Do not make kings of people. People making to much should not be giving more or be respected any more the the poor sole that lives on the streets. Demand greater taxes on people with higher incomes, not giving them tax breaks and loopholes.
  • Remember the highest power you have is not your vote but your spending of the income you make. To make the economy better starts with your next door neighbor. If you want dictators, support corporate America and make your children slaves. and give them a world they will never own.
